Vintage Excellent 1933 17' Old Town Canoe

Vintage Excellent 1933 17' Old Town Canoe. Rare. 17" long, Width 36', and Depth 15". Weight 100 lbs. approx. One owner canoe purchased in 1933. #112395. The elderly owner passed away in 2004 at 84 years old according to his family. If they used it, it was very, very little to trout fish in the remote streams in the Sate of Maine and New Hampshire. The outer canvas is painted blue, the canoe ribes, two seats, back rest and paddles are in absolute great condition and show an amazing patina. There are no apparent damages to the keel and the diamond shaped hardware fasteners are intact. In all probability after 70+ years I would say the the paint is not the original, however it is not a heavy layered coating. The interior varnish in all probability appears to be a protective coating allowing a real nice brownish patina. The canning seats, my guess looks original, and both handcarved paddles appear to be originals purchased with the canoe. The one owner of this Old Town Canoe is indeed a magnificent find.
